Great intro to this tbh. At first glance, the shit smears kind of form a smily face...stare at it long enough, it starts to look like some kind of happy, derpy mushroom.

I actually thought it might be mud. At any rate I was impressed by its size and its pinkness (it was much pinker IRL than in the photo, aw.)

Glad to hear you've had a good trip despite the unseasonable snow...

o_o Well, good to see my hometown rang you in kindly.

Oakland is a really beautiful area. If I do get into Pitt next semester, I'm definitely moving again. There are some really great parks breaking up the urbanism in that area.

But Boston's pretty cool, so I can't fault you for choosing it over Pittsburgh. EXCEPT THAT I TOTALLY WILL.

Glad to hear you had a good trip, though!

Oakland is amazing. We can't believe how cheap the advertised rents are - pretty much the same as what we're paying out in the ATL suburbs. I am so confused right now. I've been both broke and lonely for the last several years and now I get to be rid of one of those two things. :( Boston does indeed possess coolness but it's the people we met that made us so happy there.

i mean. the rent difference here could easily rack up to 5k/year, which is about pre-tax $3/hour. It is entirely possible that we could cover that by means of the jobs that are available in Boston but augh augh augh. And even if I might get a better hourly rate in Boston than Pittsburgh M probably wouldn't.

We're here til Friday morning or maaaaybe Saturday. So confuse.

Go where your heart takes you! [Triumphant fist!] Seriously, Boston sounds wonderful. Even if it wound up not working out, it sounds like it would be a great experience regardless. Whatever you wind up deciding, I hope it works out!

By the way, I'm working through Thursday night into Friday morning, but if you do decide to stay until Saturday and are interested in meeting up, I'm free Friday evening. No biggie if you're not. I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your stay regardless!

Back down south now (at home, briefly, going down to Tampa to see the in-laws in the morning). Sorry I missed you - I know your midweeks are awful :( We will be back around a fair bit though; annual pilgrimages were on M's list of demands, and Pittsburgh is completely beautiful (WHY SO VERTICAL, WHY).

If you DO end up going to Boston, pleaseeee go to Anime Boston? There is a giant metal gear group and we are all friendly (though not all of us are socially graceful).

*armflail* Good luck and good travels on wherever you decide to go! <3

We are indeed going to Boston~! I'm not really an anime fan so I'm never sure about going to anime cons, but with a giant MGS group it should be great, plus it would make me get off my ass and make a Minette costume (NOT THAT ANYONE CARES ABOUT METAL GEAR AC!D, SOB). so, thanks! <3
