Spoilers: Superman: The Movie, Superman II: The Lester Cut (references only), and Superman II: the Donner Cut (major spoilers) Possible Pre-Superman Returns (will definitely be a major AU to SR by the end of it if nothing else).
Author’s Note: Because of the untwist at the end of the Donner Cut I got to thinking about the fact that Lois already had it in her mind that Clark might be Superman and it got me to thinking that the jump and the reveal might well still have happened. This is the result of those thoughts.
Summary: Because Superman turned back time some things have been set in stone or else his father’s admonition of altering human history will come to fruition. A loop was created by his actions. Kal-El now finds himself required to close the loop. Regardless of whether or not he does close the loop, things will never be the same again.

Prologue
“It’s too bad Mr. Kent wasn’t here to see all this.” Jimmy said enthusiastically; his youthful exuberance showing in every giddy bounce.
“Poor Clark, He’s never around when it’s…“Lois has a moment of surprise when she had a sudden thought, “Clark- Wait a minute; wait a minute…,” ‘could Clark be Superman? He looks like him but… that would be impossible.’ Remembering back to the very first day of meeting Clark and the mugging attempt. Clark had tried to get the guy to not shoot but not long after fainted when the guy actually did shoot. ‘Fainted, ‘ Lois mentally scoffed at the memory. ‘Superman wouldn’t faint.’
“Lois Lane that is the silliest idea…” Lois finally said trying to shake the thought from her head.
“Let me tell you something Ms. Lane. I think he really cares about you.”
Scoffing at the obvious attraction that Clark has she said, “Clark- of course he does!”
“No, not Clark. Superman.”
