monitor help?

I think I broke my monitor. My monitor which is just barely over a year (and thus out of warranty) old. I was shredding credit card offers, half paying attention to a movie I had going in the computer when I noticed the screen was dark. I tried jiggling the mouse and got nothing

I also haven't seen one super-recently, but you can always find a monitor lying in the hallways on campus for a temporary fix.

I think my big old 17" CRT in the basement still works, if you want that for another temporary fix option.

i've got a number of spare VGA-VGA cables, if the video cable on your monitor isn't permanently attached.
