i love that book!!!
the scholars debate it
is an allegory?
that is a lovely translation that you quote!

i love it for its imagery
for my degree i had to design and make a major project
i did a banner/hanging using Song of Songs images surrounding
the figure of a woman from the text
"I am black but beautiful ye daughters of Jerusalem"

before we were married i made a book of quotations and poetry for my to be husband
that was one of them

Yes, I like it very much myself. Unfortunately there was no one looking for me when I was a young stag!

I'm sure your design and hanging were beautiful. No wonder you found a loving, caring and faithful husband. May the good Lord have mercy on him.

never found anyone
he was the love of my life
i miss him dreadfully at Christmas
