Woo metablankie! The sheep knitted from wool made by sheep!
- There are some stories about early bras being made of handkerchiefs and ribbon. You could chop a hankie in half diagonally to make two cups if you overlap the thin points at the center front and maybe have some gathering or darts below the bust. I also have a vintage-inspired bra pattern if you need a bit more of an idea how woven cups and straps could work. There's a 1910's patent drawing circulating the internet, but that's more like a backless camisole.
- For hats, you could check out more practical wear on explorer types, children and sportswomen. You can leaf through a couple of years of De Gracieuse if you want to have a Dutch source. From what I've seen so far, a big flat ready made straw hat is a viable option.
