Seems there's a petition for the new upcomming game, Spore. For those of you who'd like to, I thought I'de provide a link to a petition signed by over 2300 fans, trying to show there support and asking for a partial creature editor demo prereleased before the game. I'd sign, but I know it won't run on my computer... 4 CPU cores and 4GB of RAM won't be enough. :P

Well, dual cpu's isn't gonna help if the app/game isn't programed to utilize multi-cpu setups, which almost all games don't and Spore won't be any different =p The ram is more then enough, although if your useing ECC, your speed is sevearly bogged by all the lame filtering. Great for servers, but crap for gameing or rendering machines. And most of all, the #1 biggest factor, is your video card. No idea what your vid card is, but if it's good, it'll run it.

I'm so fucking sick of games being so poorly programmed... it's got to be the top reason I gave up on PC gaming and went to console (and now have given up on consoles now that they're PCs all over again...).

It's not that hard to write SMP optimized code. Q3A was able to take full advantage of it back in what, '99?
