All Setzer could think was that it looked like a bordello. Daryl, never content to be subtle when she could be ostentatious, had chosen to furnish her airship with red velvet upholstery. Worse, he thought he might see cloth-of-gold pillows peeking out from under a black silk afghan.
"Daryl," he said, "is this an airship, or a brothel?"
Daryl smiled. "I like red," she said. "Besides, it's soft."
"Is it, now?" Setzer moved closer to her, returning her challenging smile.
Later, when they lay entwined on the sofa in question, he thought that red and Daryl were a stunning combination.
