Our first drumline show was Saturday. We placed 3rd out of 4. It was a good show, considering it much of our drumline had never done a show before and we did about half of our show even without all the drill for that. We have a long way to go, but that just means that we have more to grow. Other lines have easy drill with easy notes; and they've pretty much got their show complete. By the end of the season, we'll be performing just as well as them, but we'll be doing harder stuff.
Tonight, we learned the rest of the opener, albeit sans playing the last few sets. We watched a video of our performance on Saturday. A lot of places need to be cleaned, but some places looked very cool.
This week is rather busy. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we have drumline and then a big show (WGI regionals) on Saturday.
Well, I am starving so I will now get something to eat.
