This is going to be a rather long story about me and my very first computer... or rather not "mine" as in "owning" but rather "my first" as in "the one that started me off on computers". Sorry you had so many hiccups along the way but you now have a CLEAN machine with lots of extra parts... Have fun! ^v^

(btw,... maybe good to make backups of all your floppies right away!)

Ad backups: I do have all those very few titles as disk images anyway, I just have the original floppy of Maniac Mansion. If anything goes bad, I'd just use the images to re-create a physical version. No need to do additional backups ^.^

I remember seeing an SX-64 for sale in one of the local stores back when I was in high school. I wanted one so badly.

My dad would never have gotten me anything remotely fun... but I did get a "Commodore PC-I" during the late 80s. He figured that PCs would be a better platform for professional use. He was right with that, but still, I didn't have half of the fun and games that I deserved ;P

There's just something I love about those old portable computers. My sister's first husband hand an Osbourne 1 (that he had standing on its side to hold up one end of a desk) that I'd love to have had.
