I called home today to talk to my dad, but ended up talking to Patti instead.  I wanted to talk to my dad about a rafting trip in West Virginia that some of my friends are going on in the beginning of October.  I'm going to call and register with their group tomorrow.  My dad called me a couple hours ago and we talked about it.  He said that Patti

It's interesting because I have noticed patti making an effort to come over and chat with us and see the babies and stuff this summer. It must be terribly difficult for you, and I give you a lot of credit for handling it as well as you do. That said, I commend patti for making the effort she has, because it's probably a little difficult for her, too.
It'd be pretty sweet if she picked up the tab, anyway :)
