Oh, I dunno--I'm pretty much completely against genetic manipulation (on the basis that those who fund it are those who could never be trusted with the outcome) but I think the human population crashing could just be the best thing to happen to the planet in a while. That said, aforesaid GMOs won't leave much of the planet worth recovering by the time we get there.

On the other hand, hairy mouths = gross.

The problem is that unless those who can afford to do it are permitted to do it, it would never get done because there are ridiculously few uncorruptable people on the planet. Power always creates wanna-be demigods.

If Monsanto has their way, they would control the entire global food supply and there would be no food that wasn't GMO, so at that point no humans would survive after the crash.
