Why do I always ship the weirdest pairings!?
For silly that it seems (and it is), some considerations on the pairings of my newest anime obsession: Gundam 00. Because levyrasputin bravely asked for them.
Top 10 Shippings Overall (actually I have 5)
1.) RibbonsxTieria ^__^
Not because I think that anything romantic could blossom between them (the other way around, possibly), but because of the subtle sexual tension lingering when the two are on scene together. Veda knows how badly Ribbons wants Tieria back and, considering I’m a complete pervert, I sometimes wonder what he is willing to pay for that.
2.) RibbonsxLiu Mei
I can’t say I’m a big fan of both characters, separate they aren’t that interesting, but together they have for sure a fascinating relation. Based on greed, arrogance, and maybe sexual attraction on her side.
My idea is that Ribbons is everything she’s always dreamt to obtain. The very incarnation of the change she desires so much and the key to her own innovation. Ribbons is the one wielding the absolute power and, for a girl like her, who seems to take great pleasure in controlling everything and everyone, he could be the most perfect partner around. Probably the only one she considers acceptable. Picky Liu Mei… ;)
3.) RevivexKati
Actually it escapes me the real reason why I like these two together. Really, I simply adore her and I find her interactions with Patrick absolutely cute. But Revive, despite his dislike for humans, still considers her quite brilliant, even to the point to remark it in front of other Innovators, and the only time we see them together Kati is quite pleased with his smartness and devotion to her command. Thus, I do not ship them to the point to replace Patrick with our lavender haired captain, but they could be good lovers nonetheless. XD
And now on with something less cracked-up XD
4.) Lyle/Anew
I admit I’ve always pitied her. I mean, from the very first time I saw Anew she seemed destined to die in some horrible way (among Trekkers she would be considered the typical “red shirt”) but, for cheesy and predictable that it is, her death scene is perfectly executed, and it is the key to Lyle’s character development into something less naïf and carefree. Not that I do not appreciate him this way, but I like him also the other way around.
5.) Andrei/Louise
Well, also here… it’s not that I dislike how the reunion with Saji has been portrayed, but Andrei’s almost brotherly protectiveness hits a cord in my heart. Ok… maybe it’s improper to ship them as a couple, but for sure he would fill perfectly the position of a lovely big brother.

RibbonsxLiu MeixRegene, with the variation of RibbonsxTieriaxRegene
These two are really for the sake of the kinkiness, and for the magnificent bitch fights Ribbons and Regene could perform. I’d have loved to see them fighting over the same body (“body” used intentionally XD).

In an alternate universe I imagine Revive as a jealous brother, worried because her twin is dating the wrong guy. While Lyle tries everything to live up to his bad reputation, much to Anew embarrassment. In a funny way, of course ;)

Uhmm…I don’t hate Alejandro so much to think he has a thing for underage pretty boys but, on the other hand, Ribbons is definitely cute and feminine enough to attract a male. I’m wondering how far he’s willing to go to make himself necessary for Alejandro, but considering that Ribbons probably regards sex only as a tool of the trade, I’m positive enough to say that he’d even prostitute himself to Corner, if that was necessary to gain control over him.
I mean… in a strict sense probably Ribbons would be on his knees all the time, but he is secretly smiling ;)

I’m still not that much in the fandom but I already can say that the NeilxTieria ship is something I don’t like very much, and for the same reason that I do not appreciate the NeilxFeldt. In this case I can’t even see Tieria hitting on him. At least it’s not a romantic crush, in my very humble opinion.
