Awesome. I gave up reading McCaffrey years ago, but I still love the setting. I'm really, *really* looking forward to this story. =)

Doesn't she make you just itch to write all the things she doesn't? The greenrider sex? The implications of gender roles? What things look like? I mean, riding straps--how? The cultural divide between Weyr and Hold, instead of fixing it, show it? What does a Weyr do when it doesn't have Thread to fight? How does this dragonbond affect people and Weyr culture? How do dragonriders--the regular guys, not the Weyrleaders--deal?
