Piece of cake.

As you've noticed, simply removing the ActiveX control file is not enough - you need to unregister it. Any time you want to register or unregister an ActiveX controll, you need to use Microsoft's regsvr32 command. Just go to Start-Run and type in:

regsvr32 "c:\program files\quicktime\qtplugin.ocx" /u

Good luck!
