I totally get what you're saying 100%. I think that it's almost an even bigger deal to casual insult people who are (or look) middle eastern. I mean, I don't see some kid with a jew fro and think "fiddler on the roof" and I don't see a black guy and thing he's going to shoot me. But the whole "terroist" stereotype has taken the nation by storm, and everyone does it...you walk by some guy with a turban and a beard and its going to cross your mind...doesn't matter if he's from India. It doesn't help that people are so casual about making rude and thoughtless remarks like that. They are only adding wood to the fire.
