...Anyone want to tell me why OSU has to have it's full name spelled out as, THE Ohio State University?

Not only that, but it's also THE Ohio Union, and stuff like that. I mean..there isn't another college with the name, Ohio State University. Granted we are the largest campus, with the most number of students, as well as the biggest exercise
