"Thanks for all your help today, Haseo-san."
Two figures - Atoli and a bit different looking Haseo - stood in front a small shop. Their surrounding slowly faded in into a bustling city, filled with people, or rather characters, busy with their routines of this constantly changing online game.
"It was kind of a strange quest, but what did you think? Did you enjoy it?"
"..."
The silver haired Adapt Rogue only crossed his arms in a thoughtful manner and stared at her for a long moment. His strong crimson eyes made her fidget and her cheeks to color at the same time.
Why is he staring at me like that, I wonder?
"Haseo-san?"
As soon as she called out to him, Haseo turned his head away swiftly, effectively looking anywhere but her.
"Oh! Er, n-nothing."
... He didn't enjoy the quest after all...?
"Hmmm... Looks like I failed again."
But she didn't want to give up, at least not yet. That sudden stubbornness she is so akin to washed away the disappointment, replacing the said emotion with a something stronger: determination.
I want to see him smile more.
"But next time! Next time, I promise I'll find a quest that you'll really, really enjoy!"
"R-right."
He looked a bit ... baffled? She wasn't really sure... Atoli really wished she was better at reading other people's atmosphere. But ... Oh well, right?
"Well, see you later!"
As she begins to walk away, his unusually soft voice stopped her on the midway. "Atoli."
Turning to him curiously, she replied back with a bit hopeful "Yes?". But when they met the eye contact, he scratched his head as if unsure.
"Ah, never mind."
Haseo's new behavior was making her want to pry again ("Is something wrong?" She wanted to ask) but she painfully knew what his reaction would be: a mild amount of irritation and a large sum of glaring.
Atoli reluctantly walked away after giving him a one last questioning stare.
Atoli opens her eyes, bit drowsily. Rubbing her eyes slowly, she smiles as she remembers the dream.
"It would be nice ... if we could go on a quest here too."
