"Miss Kusaga has a very rare and recent case called Doll Syndrome. Her right arm is entirely paralyzed, however we are unable to find a cause and cure at this moment."
She sits in front of a doctor in his white coat, who looked troubled by the shock and disbelief her mother showed as his words registered. But she herself is bit mellow - if put in best terms. Her right arm is unnaturally limp on her side. Her mother hotly demanded some kind of treatment. Anything.
While the doctor and her mother were busy conducting her future treatment schedule, a nurse came briskly by her side and smiled pleasantly. "We need to get your arm bandaged. Just to be sure it won't get injured." When she nodded with a small "okay", she gently lifted her arm - only to frown at it. "Oh this band aid won't be much of use now."
And before she could protest, practiced hands peeled off the bandaid on her pale wrist. The nurse's face turned into a mild shock and when she turned to her, the amount of pity on her eyes made her embarrassed ... and sick.
Slash marks. On the right wrist.
Although it was healing, the painfully obvious scars were still there. The hardened blood, now scabs, was still there. But it wasn't to the point of them just being masochistic self-inflicted wounds or even accidental injuries. The cuts were deep and they were uniform and intentional.
It was a suicide attempt.
She flinched slightly when the nurse gave out a heavy sigh. ".... You poor kid."

The scene changed. It was more of a fantasy-like world. People wore armors and cloaks. Some of them were not even humans. And she - she was just standing in front of the fountain, overlooking the city that was forever in sunset.
Atoli smiled a little, reassuring herself.
It was okay. In here, that kind of thing didn't matter.
At a short distance, a silver-haired rogue walked over the small bridge. And her face immediately brightened.
She hurried over to him.

*She wakes when the dream ends and slowly gets up from her bed, going to the room where Haseo have stayed during his stay. And she just stares at the emptiness. She held back a sob.*
...Haseo-san ... you stupid....
[Yeah, it's a bit late 8D;]
