all i remember of that day was that in my school they made all the teachers turn on the TVs and make us watch it as it happened i'm only about an hour away from nyc and prolly almost half the school knew someone or lost someone all i could think was that some of these kids just saw their parents die on national tv
& being loud about your opinions is the only way for people to stop and listen to them, so good job ^_^
I was... 12 when the towers went down. I was in 7th grade... science class. Since we had a TV in there... it was turned on and we saw about 5 minutes of it and then my teacher turned it off... guess he felt like he had to.
Anyway. The answer to: "why aren't we helping everyone else" is because we're too busy helping ourselves. Americans are too wrapped up in their own lives and too busy dealing with their own "drama" to really think about doing anything else -for- anyone else. Sure, we care about others, but caring and -acting- are two different things.
