omg i hated spartacus' wife and his eternal angst about her ughhhhhhhhhhhh D: its an odd show where the main character is really the least interesting person in it, i thought he was a dick! but w/e he's all about xena warrior princess lucretia and doctore ok lol

Yeah, by the second episode it was already incredibly tedious. It's like the wife is the only depth Spartacus' character has (which isn't much).

I watched the first 2 (or 3?) eps of Blood and Sand and that was about all I could tolerate. It was just TOO trashy o_O I mean, I watch True Blood, and I still thought it was too campy xD And the budget constraints really took a toll on all that hilarious CGI. *sigh* So much potential, wasted. I wish all that had been channeled, somehow, into finishing off Rome the way it was supposed to have been :p

It IS really really trashy, and the first couple episodes are pretty straight up bad. At least True Blood is campy in a self-aware kind of way. :) I don't know, I'm sticking with it for some the supporting cast (esp. Lucy Lawless). Plus I guess I'm just addicted to sword-and-sandal stuff no matter how bad it gets.

They say a Rome movie is in the works. It NEEDS to happen! (But I don't want to get my hopes up.)

If you're already up to ep 6 I guess you should just keep going xD It's like, you've already invested all that time, might as well finish out the season. I was just shocked at how bad the first eps were. It's not exactly their strongest foot forward-- I hope xD
I think you're right about that camp, also: it's ok if you're having fun with it. If it's MEGA SERIOUS, the camp just looks even worse xD

I heard that, but AFAIK they haven't really done anything with it :( I dunno how they're going to do that, anyway, with Lucius dead... I mean, he died off screen so he can always come back, but still xD

Maybe I've been in denial all this time, but I was not convinced from the time the finale aired that Vorenus actually died. XD I was like there's NO WAY they wouldn't show that deathbed scene, and Pullo seemed way too flippant about it when he told Augustus. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. ;)

Well, they had Stuart Townsend Lestat... who was good to look at, but that was a pretty bad movie. I can't figure out why they'd leave out Tom Cruise Lestat and Gary Oldman, the two of the biggest film vampires that come to mind.
