It snowed in London yesterday and temperatures are still below freezing today. It's been a record cold, apparently, with most of the UK getting unexpectant snowfall, and Scotland and bits of the southeast suffering the worst

I know right!!! A little bit of snow and there's chaos all over the place. It's as if it was snowing for the first time ever, no-one knows how to deal with it and they have no equipment or whatsoever. Surprise, it happens every year, duh! At one point you'd think they'd at least try to prepare?

Yeah! And there's been a forecast for days of arriving snow, and yet when it hits, everybody still seems surprised! The train companies are especially pathetic.

oh good lord, how do people live in temperatures like that xD But hey, at least you get a pretty, wintry looking December! I got hot today so I had to just wear a t-shirt to the store :v I'm a little jealous of snow. But not having to walk miles in it when you don't want to.

omg, t-shirt in december! I've never lived in a place warm enough for that, haha. cold winters are not so bad as long as the house has good heating and the city *coughs* works properly. I do like the look of snow! (before I get sick of it after 3-5 months.)

England reminds me of Seattle, Washington. OH MY GOD. SNOW?! WHAT DO WE DO?! AAAAAAAAAH! But Seattle still managed to work, minus a day or two.

Virginia...seems to be able to deal with snow. We all pray for snow days but the county works against us and the roads get cleared. I guess it's because we're so close to D.C. and D.C. MUST be up and running come hell or high water.

I know right! they must've snowed in the past couple of centuries before and yet they still haven't learned. they just can't cope. :x

I bet Seattle is a lot like Vancouver, in that they're mild West Coast climates. Vancouver's gotten snow this year and the last and they're like D: WHAT'S GOING ON!

I'm kind of mad about this because I can't really go to work this week and I NEED the money.

It totally is. It was so frustrating to someone like me, who comes from a state used to blizzards, with a school county that won't cancel unless it is absolutely necessary. Our airports are open. Seattle's generator went out. -_-;

Yeah, seriously, I'm sure it has snowed like this in the last 100 years, and people survived just fine.

My district school board never gave us snow days either. :( A "snow day" was like this mythical thing that you heard of, but probably never existed. Until I realised that other cities gave them out willy-nilly, ha.

Well, good news is, I've been booked for a full week next week at one school I supply at regularly. Hopefully it goes well!

Wow! All for only 15cm? That's crazy. People and companies in the NY/NJ area are perfectly fine with snow, except for having to deal with a slower commute.

Schools in my area make anything over 5cm a big deal and we get snow days. I will always remember my school's super nice principal and how we got snow days for just 2cm of snow (if weather reports indicate the snow storm to last for most of the day). Sometimes I got a snow day even before thee storm actually hit. =) My sisters are wishing for plenty of snow days this winter.

Yeah, commutes might be worse, but at least they're possible. :( Anyway, it's all melted now, so hopefully it stays that way. I miss the wintriness snow, but I don't want to be "snowed in" by less than a foot of snow again~

Anyway, it's wonderful to hear from you again! Are you settling back in okay? How are the auditions going?

Yea, I check all of my friends' sites every once in a while... I am definitely settled back. It didn't take long at all. I got back into the groove of wasteful and gluttonous USA. People look at me and continue to tell me (in Cantonese) how Japanese restaurants don't serve enough food. Oh the starving that goes on in Japan! =/ It's true that we Chinese know how to eat. Anyway, auditions are going well. I got some roles, and I have some auditions coming up. Most recently, I played a mentally disturbed character in a short film piece. It was loads of fun, yet very draining. I had to play the gamut of emotions in less than 10 minutes.
