Shiso is the devil! Japanese basil my ass. For me, shiso tastes like soap. I remember sometimes in the summer they would have these really good fried chicken filets at Heiwado. I liked them but there was something green inside that I really didn't like. Turns out they were made with shiso leaves inside and so I would just pick them out and enjoy the chicken. In fact the very memory of shiso makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little. I can't believe they used it to make a Pepsi!

Heh, I know what you're talking about with the fried chicken with shiso inside of it. I don't really like that much either. What I do love, though, is the yakitori at Daikichi -- grilled chicken wrapped in a fresh shiso leaf with plum sauce on top. That's incredible. Sounds like you wouldn't be a fan of the Shiso Pepsi, though.

I am deeply jealous of the number of Kit Kat flavors available to you. The local imports store gets some in, but not the really interesting ones.

I don't even know how many I've had... Green Tea, Green Tea w/ Red Bean, Kinako, Apple Vinegar, Lemon Vinegar, Passion Fruit, Blueberry, Red Wine, Cherry Blossom, Raspberry, Ramune...That's just off the top of my head. Red Wine might've actually been my favorite.
