Though I was never invited to the Geek House, a part of me feels very sad for its possible demise. That such a co-op of geeks and nerds could exist peacefully together makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Perhaps should should consider all pitching in to BUY your own house. I don't know if the offer on my grandmother's house on Shufledt St has gone through, but I know its on the market.

I will always have fond memories of meeting my future husband's geek cadre for the first time. That, and of meeting Skye-Cat; and taking turns crashing cars in Burnout 3; and falling over laughing when I-Can't-Remember-Who dressed the protagonist of Dead Rising in a dress, and ran about smacking zombies with a giant lipstick.
