Bush???

Jan 12, 2009 22:44

This morning, while driving to work, I decided to forgo my iPod and turn on NPR. Much to my surprise, Bush was giving his last Press Conference, and as I listened, I felt a bit of sadness. I know he and his cronies have been terrible for this country, and we can't have any more of his policies. But I was sad.

I posted a similar entry a few years ( Read more... )

I can't forgive him just yet. There are four thousand American soldiers dead and triple that amount in Iraqi civilians because he lied to use a war to gain himself political support and this nation crude oil. I don't wish ill upon him but I can't forgive.

It's okay to still be angry.

Well hang on there, to forgive is divine and all that, but I don't know that anyone can honestly say that he believed he was doing the right thing for America by using the post 9/11 hysteria to invade a country that was not directly related. Maybe he did. Maybe he didn't. I don't know exactly what you've read that makes you sure he did. I don't know that it matters to the people that died or lost someone there ( ... )

Especially since it looks like he had plans to invade Iraq as soon as he got into office, well before 9/11.

It was all about abusing the system to get his way and reward his cronies. That's been the pattern of his entire life. Fuck him.

Also: Let's remember that anyone that spoke out against the invasion of Iraq, who said that Bush was using 9/11 hysteria to invade Iraq, was either actually slandered against, fired, or outted as an undercover CIA agent. (Isn't okaying the outting of a CIA agent treason? Someone in Bush's administration committed actual treason.)

Hey Ellie, what did Tom Davis love to remind us? "An Eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." I don't care how much they slandered us. It doesn't give us the right.

::laughs:: This was a feeling I had the other day. Unfortunately, since then he gave a press conference where he made it sound like he did nothing wrong with Katrina, something I horribly disagree with. Knowing people that were responders working for FEMA, I know second hand that he FUXXORED things hard core. If he had just not brought it up, I would have been ok. But he brought it up and made it sound as if he did even better than we had though. OK, everyone, you win.

Bush, get off the stage!

Damnit, so close with the forgiveness!!!

::sigh::
