I want to move to japan. But japanese people speak japanese. And I dont.

Japanese people are far more likely to know English than you are to know Japanese. Besides, you are a smart man, and I've heard immersion is the best way to learn a new language!

Its more a matter of respect on my part. Thier 'official' or most recognised language in Japan is most likely Japanese. I dont like it when foreigners come to america without speaking a lick of english, I would expect they feel the same.

I doubt they would mind if they know you are learning. I know I don't mind one bit as long as the person tries.

thats possible. But in all my years in texas, any mexicano who attempted to learn english..already knew enough to speak in most social circles.

That or they spoke not a lick. as said.

There is no better way to learn a language than organically, if you have the patience to. But be advised; Japan is effing expensive.

On the expensive note; I know. And its not like coming up to canada where i walk into a bank with 255usd and walk out with at least another bill cdn in my pocket.

Everyone Ive ever spoken to who has been to Japan has had nothing but admonition of leaving.
