Benton stands next to him for several long minutes before he realizes Ray isn't looking at Chicago at all. He's watching Benton's reflection in the glass.

Awww! This is terrific! I love the detail about the guy from Oklahoma. Very cool, that he would be, well, so cool. Like other people Fraser might meet up there, except this guy's from Oklahoma.

Those last two sentences are gold. I love all of it.

Ray's looking at Chicago the way Benton looks at the Mackenzie Delta, and Benton moves to the northern windows and tries to see Wisconsin. He thinks he can.

Lovely, lovely, and oh! Lovely. :) I wish I could paint so I could paint this scene.
