The endless winter of the Americas was starting to grate on Ghanima. Constantly cloudy, constantly chilly... if the island did not relocate somewhere more interesting for the summer, she was going to be vastly annoyed.

Still, there were notes to review, and a class for the summer to write. At least all the paperwork would give her something ( Read more... )

"Do we know why Leto did this, or was he being his usual enigmatic self regarding the entire affair?" she asked. Really. A cupboard.

Dinah came by after classes, bruised from yesterday's and the day before's fun, but in a good mood. "Hi, Professor. How's it going?"

"It is abysmally cloudy outside for 'spring'," Ghanima answered as she scribbled something down, eyes flicking up for a second to regard Dinah merrily. "No wonder this era is always so gloomy."

Dinah grinned. "Is it? Are they throwing more parties in a different era? Or just better ones? Or less wars and famines, more dances?" Which kind of made her remember Leto's remarks about this time and place being less complicated, more fun. For him. She scowled.

Leto hadn't considered that fact that his sister would probably have had other visitors this day complaining about him, and really, it didn't matter much to him. He missed his sister.
