That skyline view of downtown Seattle with Rainier to the right could only be seen looking north from a vantage point about 750 feet above Elliott Bay, west of Pioneer Square. I suppose you could also see it with a long enough telephoto lens from somewhere on Alki Point, but you'd still need the elevation to keep things in perspective. Flip the image horizontally and you're looking south, and you'd need to be on Queen Anne Hill near 13th, where my aunt used to live.
