Yesterday jonnytuna was kind enough to show me how close I live to the peaceful canal only few minutes by bike from my house. I really wished that I'd brought my camera with me. Today I have the whole day off and so I went back and took some pictures. Unfortunatly it was a little too sunny to get good pictures but maybe you can still see that some parts of

the canal here is blocked off so that no one falls in :-/

If you like canals you should come visit A*dam.
They are very pretty ones here with old crooked bridges over it.
really worth seeing :)

I know, I've been to Amsterdam and it's very pretty. Did I ever mention that my father lived in Holland for a year when I was a teenager... So we visited a few times.

it's funny how difficult it is to find green places in london! ;) but that's so true; always when you see some nice place or actually, that the light is beautiful - you don't have a cam. we were just watching tiger lillies and of course we didn't have a camera... but the evening sun was so beautiful at the spree. *sigh*

Hehe, funny how several people seem to have just started taking up bike riding THERE! I hope to bump into you there some day then :-) Or we could decide to go together if we can ever get our schedules coordinated.

Kathryn and I cycled along here on Saturday on our way back from Canary Wharf and it was really nice. Shame about the burger boxes in places.

That must have been a pretty long bike ride! Can you get all the way to the Thames along the canal? I must try going that far next time.

You can go all the way down to Limehouse Harbour and it's a nice route. Recommended.
