Eek!

Violet has just brought her first real-live mouse into the lounge! I was torn between being a proud kitty mom and chasing her out through the catflap with it. The only reason I even noticed she had it was because she was sat on the lounge rug growling at the poor little thing. Evil kitty, she is ( Read more... )

It helps that we've always been painfully honest with each other and talked about our relationship. Because of that we still trust each other. I don't think we could do it otherwise.

Yay for kitty! I know its kinda yucky, but I always look at it like this: dead mouse versus mouse pooh and pee all over my dishtowels and silverware. Dead mouse wins every time. :P

and *hugs* on the boy-ness! I, too, am in awe of your graciousness.

This was a baby outdoor mouse of some description. I think she must have found it under the shed. She was so proud. And so growly. Bless her :)

Go, Violet! I'm glad she didn't eat it, though. Poor mousie. :)

Since our cats are indoor-only, the only way they can corner scary fauna is if it's in the house to begin with (such as the Enormous Cockroach of '05). In that case, we're generally glad that they bring it to our attention before it starts crawling on us!

I'm sorry about the Boy. In my experience, even when being mature and staying friends with an ex is the right thing to do, there are moments when calling him "Mister Poopypants" and spitting in his milk seem like they would be way more rewarding. *nod*

I'm pretty sure that she just dodn't eat it in front of me. I doubt the poor little thing survived its ordeal intact :(

OMG if Vi brought me an Enormous Cockroach I think I would die of fright! But luckily we don't get them too often here. It's a bit cold for them, thankfully.

Don't worry about the Boy. Generally it's all good. And when I get a bit sad from now onwards I shall just refer to him as "Mr Poopy-Pants" in my head :)

*hugs*

You are WAY better equipped to handle friendship with ex than I could. The last time I saw my ex after we'd broken up, all I wanted to do was kiss him...

Yeah, that happens sometimes. But I guess it'll wear off :)

It does, eventually. In my case, it helped a lot that I really don't see him. It doesn't sound like that's the case for you. But you are a very mature, poised woman, so, at the very least, your hysterics will be internal, whereas mine were all around!

It is tough sometimes. But I think the other option of not seeing him would be a lot tougher in the long run, so we persevere.

Cute icon, BTW :)

Oh no, Violet! And at the same time, congratulations, Violet! At least it wasn't a bird; somehow I always found them more distressing to deal with. I guess it's all the flapping :(

I'm glad you had such a nice time at the Globe, in the Boy's company. It's so good that you can still be a part of each other's lives.

Luckily she hasn't brought a bird in yet. I don't look forward to that day :/
