Fandom is leaching over into my real life again, and this time its from Battlestar Galactica. I have started using "fracking" as an expletive in stressful work-related situations. People are looking at me funny ( Read more... )

LOL! That's fracking awesome!

Jack was a big fan of the original Battlestar Galactica so I got him the DVD set for Christmas a year or so ago. I haven't seen any of the new series, but I've heard a lot about it from my friends list.

Congrats on doing so well in your running! I firmly believe that you are one of those people who can achieve anything you set your mind to. Go, you!

I think you'd like BSG - it has lots of Firefly-ish elements to it, although not the witty dialogue. They are a little travelling space family though, so that element is the same. And I've just watched an episode in the second series where they used some of the themes from the music in the original version and that made me all nostalgic for Dirk Benedict. So I may have to get that for myself at some point.

Mostly I get quite hot and fracking sweaty, but it's very meditative and that's just what I need at the moment.
