up on stage

for some inexplicable reason the chai house became massively crowded only moments before I showed up today (according to the usual guy behind the counter who told me somewhat sadly). I don't mind so much as I really like the people watching sunday... but this has put me literally up on stage as the only place to sit that I can plug in my laptop is ( Read more... )

If I am being looked at or examined etc on my terms, it feels so good it's a fetish. I like to dance, for example with the knowledge I am being watched, in a good way. If I feel like the watcher is thinking nasty thoughts, then I choose to ignore the glancer and go back to having fun. If it is someone watching me...not in a people watching sense and I'm a people...but scrutinizing me for some reason without my awareness or implied concent, hate that.

I tend to retreat to a more comfortable and emotionally defendable place if I think that there is any malaise in there intent otherwise I don't mind.

it's a big part of my job to be so. as a naturally introverted person, sometimes it's quite an ordeal. how do i deal with it? try to shift my perspective to that of someone who enjoys it.

and your attitude is pretty solid. Who cares what they think? Ultimately, I do, but sometimes i tell myself otherwise and it works ;)
