Yep, I know it has been a long time. Sometimes I heard a mention from afar that LJ still exists, but I just didn't get round to coming over here - let alone posting.

Ahh well, that happens when life chases you through the days. Rehearsals, assignments, forum work, offical papers … you name it.

Delightful, Hilde! Of course you're excited... and you needn't worry that I'd be bored or that you might appear in the least "nerdish" with such a terrific opportunity looming!

I hope you'll tell us more about how this pianist leading flautist to greater heights of interpretation is managed. You clearly have depths of emotion of your own to tap... and the music is rich with potential. How wonderful to have such a time!

Hehe … yeah I know I've been scarce. My apologies.

Yeah, range is the right word - you know I never really thought about it like that, but you're right a pianist comes from a wider range plus a totally different way of thinking (as they play multivoices opposed to the single sounding voice of a wind player - though actually we also play mulitvoiced pieces where the voices are hidden within the solo line). Thanks for pointing htat out to me. :)
