Well today has been a really long day on the road. We left Amarillo on route 40 and have just driven west. I have to admit I was kinda happy to get out of Texas

Hi Alex,
from reading an early response from Gail, it seems easier to keep the "anonymous" checked. Your mom sent us your blog address and I checked it out for the first time tonight. It seems that you have planned well and are seeing a lot of neat stuff along the way, like the petrified forest. Many years ago, my friend Joe suggested the he and I rent motorcycles/scooters and drive across the country on the old route 66 to the west coast. I was reluctant to do it at the time. Well, neither of us have time to do that today. We would probably have had a lot of fun and nice memories if we had. So enjoy your trip!!
Say hello to Richard. Sorry we could not see you on the 4th of July. But, hope to see you soon.
P.S. Interestingly, the blog's spell check function does not recognize the word "blog".

I'm so glad this blog went out to the whole family! It's great to hear from you!
The spell check has me hysterics, half the time it doesn't work at all and erases the entire entry (as it did to Aunt Gail). So I have given up with it.
From Aunt Gail (again)

Hi lady, I think I'm going to have to take issue with your mother's comment on me having "difficulty learning to blog". I am having no difficulty learning to blog - there are just bugs in this code somewhere. No program should just vanish with data if a user hasn't expressly told it to discard it. So there. It's not me

Sadly, we didn't hit the Grand Canyon, but it's just one more excuse to back to Arizona.
The time zone thing is really screwed up, but Indiana was like that until this spring as well. I guess it makes some kind of stupid sense to me. I think it has to do with cows.
We are moved.....yes!

We are officially Bloomington citizens. Monday was the day from hell, literally it was well over 100 degrees with the heat index. Thank goodness I contracted with a local moving firm to unload the truck. Now to unpack......
Good to speak with Richard, I understand you found the Commanders Palace Las Vegas. Also, I hear he was schooled by the Vegas dealers.....recommend you try the locals play areas on Bolder Highway.....they are less brutal on your pocketbook.
Have to go, I have a meeting at the VA this morning.
