constant tugging on shirt/whining/not really wanting to nurse

My little girl is 15 months old. She was teething a week or two ago but those symptoms have gone away. This week she has been so hard to deal with. She whines over and over again all day long. She doesn't want to nurse, but she wants to nurse. I don't get it. She pulls on my shirt to get to the "bow-boos" literally every two minutes and whines when ( Read more... )

mine is 25 months old and when i tell her "no more meemee" she FLIPS OUT!! it's like being held hostage! sometimes i can get through it, but sometimes she hits and grabs and basically makes me feel bad for denying her her rightful boobage.. that might sound weak. but i wonder which is worse? giving in to nursing when she's only two, or openly REJECTING my child, by denying her her one and only security object...?

I feel your pain, Kalli's been doing that for a couple of months (she's almost 12 months). She cannot go to sleep without sticking her arm down my shirt, and this last week it's moved from being between my breasts to having to be right over a nipple, and of course she's always fiddling and moving... OW!
She gets mad when I press down my nipples so she can't put her hand there, even though I leave her access to the rest of the breast.
Of course, it just drives me insane to have her sticking her hand in there anyways, because it's in-and-out-and-in-and-out-and-in-and-fiddle-fiddle-fiddle

And she usually comes and starts ripping down my shirt any time she needs anything... milk (at least it makes sense then!), a diaper, just some attention ( ... )

Oi, this is us EXACTLY for the last few months. She just has to have that other nipple when she's nursing. Her hand will always inch over there, even if she's asleep. I press my hand against it to keep her out and she gets mad, but eventually deals with it.

She also does the pop-on-and-off thing when she's wet or even when she has to go but hasn't gone yet.

Oh man, ths is my son TO A TEE right now. He's 17 months. Whine, sign milk and moan "Muuuuuuuuck" and then when I offer it, he'll suck for maybe 10 seconds, slap at my boob a couple times, diddle the nipple, I'll get annoyed and put it away. Commence fit: banging head on floor, arching back, the whole 9. I'll hold him close but he just pushes me away. IDGI either. I hate the pulling and pinching and fiddling and also hate the fussing and thrashing from not being able to pull, pinch, etc. *sigh*
