I'm hoping to hear from Moms and Dads who have had issues with their toddlers playing with their own poop, or from anyone who has advice or suggestions on the matter. I'm getting really frustrated

If she can remove her clothes and explain to you when she has pooped, are you sure she isn't ready for potty training? I only ask because I've been reading the No Cry Potting Training solution and those are two of the things that indicate readiness or being almost ready.
Sorry I don't have any useful advice, it sounds really tough :-/
What kind of bed is she in? One she can get in and out of? Can you put her potty in there with her so she can go to her potty when she has to do a poo during naptime? That way she's not trying to go for 10 minutes when she doesn't really have to go, but she has a place to go potty like a big person when she has to.
IDK if this is feasible or will work, but it does sound like she's showing signs of readiness.
my son was doing similiar things until we put a little potty in his room so that he could go poop in it. THe first couple of times he dumped his diaper out into ... but at least it wasn't all over his room.
Have you tried using a portable baby monitor, so that you can hear as soon as she wakes up?
I also agree with the suggestion to put a potty in her room, and switch her to a bed (if she's still in a cot) so that she can get herself onto the potty when she needs to.
