Yup, getting primed for NaNoWriMo...I have like three or four story ideas i've been working on but never actually getting anywhere with.  Because doing schoolwork and not doing schoolwork is eating up my time like pudding snacks.  Man, I love pudding snacks

I'm game but i cannot promise anything, for school is also devouring my spare time like a pudding snack. I'm sure if i thought long and hard i could come up with something about portland, i've spent enough time there

i wanted to compile a collection of stories about the niches and crannies of portland. call it: "the hidden hearts of portland". everyone's got that roof story, that back stairwell story, that time you smoked weed on the fifth floor of whatever - but the catch is that you can't name any of the places. you can describe them, perhaps describe a general view from a window, or some such, but you cannot specifically name the places or give directions to them. the canny reader might be able to figure it out, but this namelessness adds an exciting mystery feel as well as allowing the stories to focus on what happened there as opposed to where it is.

but that idea never quite got off the ground. sadly, i'm not much for other people. but i'd be into it. get some more folks to commit, and i'm down. you might want to hold off til after november's over, and maybe december, too, i'm thinking ...
