One, Starscream had talked him out of Autobot City while Starscream stayed behind--after a lengthy conversation with the Autobot Security Chief. Ulterior motive, or happenstance? Either one was possible. Red Alert had never quite trusted

Skyfire looks thoughtfully at the spot where Blackstar was for a few moments, then opens a channel to Starscream.

// Starscream, if you're not too busy? Your critter is not from Earth, and possibly not from this universe. It appears to be someone's domesticated vermin hunter--it's quite adept at running through ducts and clearing out rats and larger organic vermin, it's relatively bright, and it does not act like a wild animal in captivity. The question is, what to do with it? It is not dangerous to us, and you do have a rat problem in the base. //

Starscream replies to Skyfire,, saying:

// Skyfire, the creature doesn't sound objectionable to me, and might actually be useful--but check with Echoshift before you turn it back loose. If he doesn't want it in the base, bring it to Autobot City. Both Autobots and humans are insufferably fond of affectionate furry things. //

Skyfire smiles to himself, and sends a message to Echoshift.
