I'd like to add that ten years NO ONE in Germany wasted a thought about Valentine's day. But since then the chocolate commercials and media began to advertise it/report about it and now you just can't hide from it.

I agree - the merchandising seems much heavier now! Mind you, this morning was funny. I was in the financial district and found great amusement at all the weary delivery men bustling about the marble corridors with large, expensive bouquets of flowers, searching for addresses and offices to deliver to...

Tomorrow the men in my local area don't have it much better. It's "Women's carnival" and this means women got out at 11:11 am with a scissor in their hand and cut off the ties of all the men they meet on the street. What a nice contrast to Valentine's day

OMG! That sounds so crazy and fun! I bet that's a day when all the men wear their cheap ties, lol. Pity the man who forgets and wears his Dior Homme... ;)
