“Here, take this,” I said, reaching out to pass the lit joint to Dave. He took it from me as I exhaled and watched the smoke billow up in front of my face. Loved it. (Well, besides that marijuana part, but it would be boring to say more on the subject ;) )

I was of the personal belief that, no matter where you are, as long as you look like you know where you’re going and what you’re doing, nobody would bother you.

Yes! Another friend and I went to Boston once for the first time, and we had other tourists asking us where to go. As long as you look aware... you're good =)

I enjoyed how vivid this was, and the comfortable camaraderie between you and Dave. side note: I usually laugh just thinking the "Charlie bit my finger!" video, and my kids adore it too.

if it matters to you, you wrote "quiet honestly" in your fourth paragraph (end of the third line) instead of "quite honestly". :)

Ooh, good catch. Thank you! ...and this is why we need to use a beta *g*

The Charlie bit my finger is one of my favorites, and likely because my memory of it is tied to this good friend of mine =)
