bring back the music

thinking of finally buying an ipod. i think perhaps the new blue nano? i've read up on it and it sounds pretty good, better than the old nanos but one guy did some tests on it and the screen stopped working after one bad drop while jogging. that has me worried, but my fears of breaking it were stopped. he went around all day with it in his back ( Read more... )

What could you possibly use the video for? The resolution on those screens is microscopic, no matter what the pixel rate. You'll pay out the ass for a feature you're not likely to use? What, you're gonna watch Colbert report clips while you're doing ellipticals?

thanks juice! you sold me on getting a video one! but yah think the nano is the better choice.

yah i know, but what is stupid is the 8GB nano is the same price as the 30GB video.

jesus, really? That's absurd. Maybe the video is a better bet. The thing about those ipod is marketed as a portable vehicle for your entire music library. I have 50 gigs of mp3s on my computer, categorically organized by band and album and an additional 250 + cds. I'm not averse to the notion of owning one, but for a serious music collector, they do not cut the mustard.
