Ooohhhh, YAY! My prompt's answered. I loved this interpretation of yours, how it takes her awhile to come to think of Hades as her home because I truly do believe she does come to think of it as home, eventually. Just, ahhh, lovely portrayal of both of 'em. ^^

Fave line: He did like cunning and manipulative people after all.

Hi! Sorry this has taken me twentytwomillion years to reply back to! Thanks for reading and I'm glad you liked!

I was a little worried (as I always am) because I didn't use the exact phrase of the prompt. But you liked it! And that's all that matters!

And yeah, I made her a spoilt manipulative little brat, because Hades had to like something about her, and I figured it would be the manipulative part. I grew up with waaay too many rich, only children. They are the kings and queens of manipulation!

Ha, maybe it's the topic that's been on my mind lately but I can't help reading this as a Stockholm Syndrome kind of thing...rather a sinister romance. But it's beautifully told! I love the symmetry and the way there's room for reader interpretation.

Oh, yes, this is very much a SS fic. There was one fic though, I think it was for yuletide, which had her eager to go and totally loving it. I didn't save the link, so I doubt I'll ever find it again, but it was a rather hilarious different take on it!

[and wow, I fail at comment feedback. Sry 'bout that]

She eats the pomegranate seed in the end- when she's talking to Artemis. I didn't want to make it too explicit, because I like that so much of this fic is left up to the imagination and a sort of 'fill-in-the-blank'.

The image of the souls catching and burning is my favourite! I'm so glad you liked it!

Thanks for reading and commenting!

Found this through recs comm. Persephone/Hades is my most favorite myth pairing and I love this story. Persephone is so lively and relatable and I love how helplessly Hades loves her, despite the first impression.
