when i was younger and i cut, i believe it only masked up what i didn't want to see there inside of me. the feeling was always there, always on the top of my mind - the thing i first thought about when i awoke and the last thing i thought about when i slept at night.

does it make you feel better? never. i think sometimes i would go insane trying to make myself feel better. when people cut, and they feel that the cutting is helping drive out the emotions caught up inside, i think they are lying. if you are a somewhat "true cutter" you will know that nothing even cutting helps. you are stuck like that for as long as it takes.

Of corse you're just lieing to yourself. You're hiding, running away from the pain. the emotional pain,

By replacing

but when you stop bleeding, the emo pain comes back.

its a sick cycle

if it helped so much then why would people keep doing it? and, it can only work if you think it will, anything can. you could transfer the helping onto something else, like eating an apple, anything, if you believe enough that it will help, then it will..belief is powerful
