I was in a pretty good mood this morning, even though I had to work at a different Starbucks and felt completely useless and out of sorts there bc I didn't know where anything was and they have a weird way of doing things, but that was all rectified when I left with my venti iced coffee into the sunny and almost-warm last day of February

Yuck. I'm sorry. I hate that your time is so precious as it is and you're spending part of it being miserable at this internship.

I will chime in and say that it won't happen for you unless you believe it will, though. I completely believe that it can but you're the one who needs to believe in yourself.

Supposedly, I get to review an actual book proposal the next time I go to my internship...we'll see about that. And I know I need to believe things for myself, it's just discouraging when everything seems to be going awry lately.

An actual book proposal? That's exciting. If it happens and it goes well you should emphasize what great experience it was to your boss and try to drop hints about how that's what you're supposed to be doing.
