Hate to say this but every pokemon comes from eggs. Doesn't really matter if it's a ghost or even a giant rock snake.

That's true, but... didn't you ever hear any ghost stories when you were younger? Like, about how vengeful dead people were so pissed off they became ghosts and haunted others?

Yeah... It is pretty weird. A lot of strange things hatch from the eggs, though! I guess I've just gotten used to it by now.

Well... Fuji was the one who gave it to me, and he was just kinda like, "Take good care of this, won't you?" and then smiled in that Fuji sort of way and then started talking about something else. So... no.
