Hey look, a worthwhile meme

This is the problem with LJ, we all think we are so close, and we know nothing about each other. I'm going to rectify it. I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.

Bah. I've already asked you all the good questions.

What was the first thing you ever made from scratch?

I'm not sure, maybe tacos or spaghetti? Perhaps cookies, muffins, or biscuits?

Growing up, we had a rule that all four of us would each make dinner at least once a week. Whoever made dinner didn't have to clean any dishes that night.

Do you like your family?

Yeah, generally I do. Compared to glimpses of so many of the other families I've observed, I have a really low drama family. Standard 2 kid family with the divorce package.

I don't see them much any more, even though my father and brother live in town and my mother is only a couple hours away.

I have dinner once or twice a year with my father and his family. I probably talk to him on the phone a few times a year as well.

I occasionally visit my mother, and she occasionally promises to visit me, but somehow never makes it into town. I should call her more often, and visit more often, but I haven't done so.

When I'm feeling nasty I can say things like "Everything I know about ethics, I learned from watching my brother." I generally avoid him and his wife, who is even more messed up than he is. We are fraternal twins.

For the last decade or so my family has shifted away from blood relatives to include elegantelbow and certain close friends.

Who is your favorite auther?

OR

What book, if any, could you read annually forever and never get tired of it?

I'm not so good picking favorites in any category, and I don't generally reread books all that often....

If I knew ahead of time that I'd have to reread it annually forever, I'd probably pick the shortest book I could find. ;-}

Since I haven't really answered your question, I'll let you rephrase it.

Hmmmm. I've actually been more interested in non-fiction lately. I suppose if I had to name someone I'd probably pick Pamela Jones.

Do you sing well, or enjoy singing?

I'd guess that I don't sing well at all. Fortunately (for others) I don't do it all that often.
