I just turned on the news and heard this bit:

"Since the war began in Iraq, 305 soldiers have lost their lives. Each weekend we remember one of them."

At this rate they are going to fall behind further and further each week. It would be more honest to remember several of them each weekend, or perhaps two a day so they can try to catch up on the

unfortunately, the people who put them over there will not remember any of them. i mean what are a few hundred soldiers' lives worth when compared to ratings? grrrr...

my favorite quote on the topic came from some of the worldwide protests a couple of days ago. "George Bush, Uncle Sam, Iraq will be your Vietnam!"

I can assure you, they will be remembered. Maybe not by the members of confress, or the president. However they will be forever remembered by those who will follow in their paths.

Also soldiers aren't in Iraq fighting for our politicians.

I saw that too, actually, and had the exact same thought.

I think they're really just trying to remember *any* of them, which is more than a lot of people are doing.
