Sort of a response to Jess' pissed off post

Okay, so the bail-out failed, um yay! I know, I know, they have to do something, and it's un-liberal, leaning democratic socialist, of me to assume that the market is just going to fix itself, but somehow, I don't think a corporate capitalist, but socialist when everything turns to shit is the way to do it either. So, I'm happy about that. I can't ( Read more... )

Yeah, that's really the problem with me posting my rants on my livejournal and my facebook, it's going to be well-received here, you guys are probably all thinking much the same thing, with some obvious tweaks, so I kind of wish that there was some way of doing this that would get more debate going on. I kind of miss that whole debate angle...

Anyway, I've read some of his stuff, and it looks neat, it's going on my bookmarks bar as we speak :D

debates are nice....an idea, befriend a Republican?????
can't help you out with the devil's advocate thing, while I understand their arguements..the postions just don't make sense to me! and I would end up agreeing with you..

I do think that between the both of your rants...you missed a crucial point, using feminism to get a Republican president, thinking that just because Hillary is a women that she must be the same. AARRRGGGHHH! what would the true feminists from the 70's and the 20's say!

and you don't even need to be a true, ms. toting feminist to get angry!!

Lol, yeah, definitely... I didn't even actually want to touch on that one, because I could talk for eight years about how excruciatingly painful it is to watch her attempt to singlehandedly destroy everything that feminists have been attempting to achieve for YEARS. If they win (dear God NO), then what kind of image is that going to put out there for other nations. What if McCain kicks the bucket? How are we supposed to come out and talk for women's rights in the world and furthering a woman's cause if we have this utter moron as a representative of a "successful woman." I just watched the interview with Katie Couric (the actual one after watching the skit), and it was actually painful to watch, I almost stopped watching halfway through it... She should just be shoved under a rug somewhere, or maybe the McCain campaign should brush it off as a prank, and unveil the Actual VP candidate eventually... But anyway, as I said before eight days of ranting about this VP "candidate." Seriously, could have a more intellectual discussion with ( ... )
