You can get a lot accomplished when you wake up at 5am.... that crazy 14 hour time difference.

We (and by we I mean me, but I woke Jon up) were wide awake by 5 am, so we decided to take advantage of that by going to the Tsukiji Fish Market. Fisherman go to the market at about 3am to auction off their fish to the vendors, who then in turn sell them ( Read more... )

Your pictures are fabulous- as usual. I'm so excited to hear about your adventures!

I was shocked by the food slurping thing. Especially when we ate in someone's house as their guest- they expect you to slurp up a storm! It's kinda fun but a little random.

Sounds like you are having a great time. Things sound so different there. We have been working on the deck project all day and things are going well. Hope that you get some rest. I enjoy reading your musings. Very well written and descriptive.
