Hmmm, well, I haven't smoked anything in a few days now, which is a kind of quitting. Granted, I've been struck down with the scarlet-plague-dropsy, but the craving has been there. And have I succumbed! Never! Instead I have spent too much money on cheap books at big book fairs the likes of which the world will never ever see again until September! Bwaa haa!
Don't know that premature death is romanticised as much as the sheer pleasure that smoking and drinking brings us tends to blind us to any notion of 'repercussions' ... But so, a vice is a vice. Do I still get a muffin?
